We were excited to have three winning bikes at the last Kickback Classic Motorcycle Show in Upper Hutt 2022. All bikes had complete bare metal paint and pinstriping undertaken by us.

We take pride in our three-step tank sealing service.
Many tanks have been rescued and bought back to use by our tank repair and internal
sealing process. I have repaired tanks with 2 to 103 pinholes.
Please don’t hesitate to contact me with your tank issues, I may be able to help. I
exclusively use Red Kote Fuel Tank Sealer, made in the USA.
If you are looking for someone to carry out a restoration of your motorcycle then give me a call to discuss what you are looking for, whether it be a ground-up bare metal restoration, a paint job, or simply a freshen up. We also do patina. I have great contacts with local specialist engineers and platers, we can work with you to bring to life your vision for your motorcycle.

"The crowning glory of any well restored motorcycle is surely the petrol tank, but only
if
this has been expertly painted. The painting of tanks is a specialised job, especially
for
the earlier thanks with multiple pinstriping and colours.
That is why I talked to James Chambers when it came to getting my own tank and bike
painted. I am and remain a very happy customer, the photo will show why."

"I have been restoring a ’27 Triumph ‘flat-tank’ motorcycle, one item I’d been putting
off
was getting the new fuel tank painted.
It was difficult to get a true reckoning of the original colours, it had fine
pin-striping
and required two delicate decals to be applied.
James had shown me some photos of previous work he had completed, the workmanship looked
like pure art... and so I entrusted this painting job to him. All I could provide to
him
was the raw steel tank and a few fuzzy photographs, all of them in B & W.
What returned was simply amazing, James had researched the correct colours, the width of
the
delicate pin-striping and applied the even more delicate decals with precision. Finish
coated in what has proven to be a very robust clear lacquer, the tank is truly the
crowning
glory of the bike’s restoration.
Trouble is, it’s made the rest of the bike look a bit average...sigh."
